Our report 'Dealing with Dilemmas' (TBL 2001) won the award as the best Danish sustainability report published in 2002. The award was given by the Danish Association of Chartered Accountants and the Danish financial daily, Børsen. In April 2002, Lise Kingo, executive vice president of Novo Nordisk, was honoured at the Edinburgh International Science Festival, where she received the Edinburgh Medal for pioneering a socially and environmentally responsible approach to business. In the same month (April 2002), we were celebrated as winner of the European Association of Chartered Accountants' “Best Sustainability Report in Europe” for the joint Novo Group report for 2000, “Values in a Global Context”. In October 2001, we were awarded for the best Danish sustainability report published in 2001 by the the Danish Association of Chartered Accountants and the Danish financial daily, Børsen. Earlier in 2001, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants awarded us for having published the best integrated environmental and social report in Europe for the report 'Putting Values into Action 1999'. In 2000, the same report was awarded as the best sustainability report published in year 2000 by the Danish financial newspaper Børsen and the Danish Association of Chartered Accountants. The 1998 social report won honours from the European Accountants' Association. The 1996, 1997 and 1998 environmental reports won the award for Best Environmental Report from the European Accountants' Association. The 1995, 1996 and 1997 environmental reports won the Green Accounting Award in Denmark from Børsen and the Danish Association of State-authorised Public Accountants. In addition, the 1995 environmental report won the Corporate Conscience Award for Environmental Stewardship from the Council On Economic Priorities (USA). |
