Mads Øvlisen was the guest speaker on Triple Bottom Line (TBL) reporting at a lunch hosted in his honour by Senator Amanda Vanstone, Minister for Family and Community Services and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Status of Women. The Honourable John Howard, Prime Minister of Australia, visited the lunch to personally welcome Mads Øvlisen and together they discussed TBL reporting. Following the lunch, Mads Øvlisen met with Senator Kay Patterson, Minister for Health and Ageing, to brief her on Novo Nordisk and its product portfolio. |
Novo Nordisk’s TBL reporting has enabled the Australasian affiliate to build a strong relationship with the Australian government; that in turn led the Prime Minister to want to hear about those experiences directly from Mads Øvlisen. Mads Øvlisen’s visit to Australia was timed so that the day after, on 30 May, he could officially open the new offices of Novo Nordisk Australasia in Sydney, Australia. |
